Mc Kenzie, TNFuneral services are 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Brother Drake Whitworth officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 until 8 p.m. and on Friday, noon until 2 p.m.
Mrs. Byars was born November 16, 1938 to the late Lester Webb and Minnie Williams Webb. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Butler Jr., second husband, Hershel Byars. She was a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail (Steve) Edwards of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Shelia (Mitchell) Whitworth of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Kristie (Kimberly) Butler of Medina, Tennessee; one son, Ricky (Ann) Butler of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda (Steve) Dickson of Bruceton, Tennessee and Janet Prince of Murfressboro, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Kendra La, Kala (Trevor) Sanders, Kodie (Kara) Edwards, Dustin (Whittney) Whitworth, Drake (Jessica) Whitworth, Hunter Foster, Tanier Foster, Kirk (Crystal) Butler, Kevin (Crystal) Butler and Karl Butler; 19 great-grandchildren.
