Mrs. DeAndria Slayton Cozart of McKenzie, Tenn. and formerly of South Fulton, Tenn. died Thursday at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon, Tenn.
 
DeAndria was born August 16, 1978, in Union City, Tenn. to Laquita Pirtle Slayton and the late Bobby Slayton.
 
She was a customer service specialist for Spectrum and had lived in this area on and off all of her life.
 
DeAndria is survived by her husband, Eric Cozart, to whom she was married on September 18, 2021, a son, Amarius Milton of McKenzie,  a stepson, DeAndre Cozart of Jackson, Tenn., a stepdaughter, Madisyn
Ransey of Murray, Kentucky,  her mother, Laquita Pirtle Slayton of South Fulton, Tenn., a sister, DeReka Slayton of South Fulton, a nephew, Jalen Cross of South Fulton,  a grandmother, Martha Slayton of Union City, Tenn.,
a father-in-law, Reginald Cozart (Jeruna) of Trezevant, Tenn., a mother-in-law, Harriette Taylor of McKenzie and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Ruben and Lela Pirtle, grandfather, Willie Slayton and brother-in-law, Reggie Cozart.
 
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Brooks Chapel  Kingdom Harvest Ministries in South Fulton. Visitation is at the church, 12 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
