The Huntingdon Board of Education meets Wednesday, September 20 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office, 585 High Street, Huntingdon. Individuals wishing to address the board on an agenda item must notify the director by 1 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

McKenzie Rebels Basketball’s Golf Tournament is September 16
McKenzie Rebels Basketball 12th Annual Golf Tournament and Four-Man Scramble is Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Carroll Lake Golf Course, McKenzie, Tenn. The price includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and a chance to meet the 2023-24 Rebel and Lady Rebel Basketball Teams. The cost is $300 for a four-man team. Sponsors are needed at $150 per hole. Sponsorship opportunities include: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt.

E911 Board To Meet September 19
The Carroll County Emergency Communications District Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 5 pm. The meeting is at 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon in the training room (this is the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in the training room at the jail).

Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.

Free Hamburger, Hotdog Supper At Church Of Christ
McKenzie church of Christ is hosting a free hamburger and hotdog supper at their building on Highland Drive, McKenzie on Thursday, September 21, 5 to 7:30 p.m. (or until the food is gone).
Dining-in is available or drive-through if you want to pick it up and leave. The menu is hamburgers, hotdogs, dessert and a drink (for dine-in only). The meal is free to all who are hungry or in need of Christian fellowship. All you have to do is come by. Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, please call 731-352-2106 or 731-695-6575.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Department is conducting roadblocks on September 15 and 16, Highway 79, McKenzie and Highway 70, Bruceton.

McKenzie High School Class of 1968 55th Reunion

The McKenzie High School Class of 1968 is having a catered dinner for their 55th Reunion at 6 p.m. on September 16, 2023, at The Barn, 700 Hill Road, McKenzie. The Oak Ridge Boys will perform a free concert during the Huntingdon Heritage Festival on Saturday morning, September 23 in downtown.
