Huntingdon Elks Lodge to Host Golf Tournament
Huntingdon Elks Lodge and Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads are hosting the third annual golf outing on Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m. at Carroll Lake Golf Course. All golfers will receive a ticket for the Ricky Crider Fish Fry lunch at the Lodge after the event. Prizes awarded for longest drive, closest to pin and longest putt. McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.

Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location — Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.

McKenzie TOPS to Meet
The McKenzie TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Mondays at 3 p.m. at the McKenzie Church of Christ gym. Anyone interested in losing weight can join. For more information, contact Linda Lawrence at 731-352-7309. If no answer, leave a message.

McLemoresville UMC Fourth Sunday Singing, Add-A-Dish
McLemoresville United Methodist Church will host a fourth Sunday singing and add-a-dish meal on April 28 at the church located at 1800 College Street in McLemoresville, Tenn. Add-a-dish is at 5 p.m. and singing is at 6 p.m. by The Gospelaires. For more information, contact Phil Williams 731-225-5256.

Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in February and July.

Yard Sale
Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 is at our shelter location, 21822 Highway 22 in McKenzie. 8 a.m.-12 p.m., both days. We are now taking donations for the sale and will accept new and gently used items.
If you want to donate clothing/shoes, please make sure they are in good condition. We cannot accept used socks, undies and mattresses.
We are excited to have Twizted Tot Munchie Truck with us both days serving breakfast!
Dog Vouchers
We are currently selling spay/neuter vouchers for dogs. The cost is $50 and surgeries will be done at the Huntingdon Animal Clinic. Must be 6 months or older at time of the appointment. No residency or income requirements. Vouchers must be purchased in person at the shelter during business hours Tuesday-Saturday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. We are running low on spay vouchers so hurry if you want one. We have several more neuter vouchers. Cash or card only.
Cat Vouchers
We always have spay/neuter vouchers for cats at a cost of $50 and to be used at Paris Vet Clinic. If you need to pay with cash, come by the shelter to purchase. Otherwise, we have a NEW NUMBER to purchase using a credit/debit card. Please leave a message and the volunteer will return your call very soon. 731-514-0878.
Carroll County Democratic Party Meets
The Carroll County Democratic Party meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Carroll County Republican Party Meets
Carroll County Republican Party meets monthly each fourth Tuesday, 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Building in Huntingdon. The annual Pasta and Politics Dinner is September 21, 5 p.m. at the Civic Center.

McKenzie Industrial Board Meets Thursday
McKenzie Industrial Board will meet Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 6 p.m. at The RailYard, 9 Broadway Street in McKenzie.
