McKENZIE, Tenn. - A funeral service for Margie Verneta Cunningham is Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Obion River District in McKenzie. The family will receive friends Friday, October 4, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Internment is at Old Reedy Creek Cemetery, McLemoresville, Tenn.

Mrs. Cunningham, 88 years old, died Monday, September 23, 2019 at McKenzie Health Care. She was born April 18, 1931 in McLemoresville to Vernell Hunt and Berthena Webb. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Annie Haynes, Mary Adkisson, Willie Jo Adkisson and Delois Webb and brother, Yuma Webb.

She is survived by her husband, Porter Cunningham Sr. of McKenzie, five daughters, Betty (George) Burrow of McKenzie, Priscilla (Fred) Brown of McKenzie, Eunice Phillips of McKenzie, Mary Crawley of McKenzie and Julie (Obie) Tharpe of Camden, three sons, Ernest (Lucille) Phillips of Champaign, Ill., Ray (Regina) Cunningham of Dallas, Texas and Porter Cunningham, Jr of McKenzie, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
