John Allen Mitchell

Mr. John Allen Mitchell, 50 of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Monday, August 9, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services are Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Allen officiating.  Interment will follow in New Pisgah Cemetery in Hollow Rock.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday, 5 p.m.  until 9 p.m. and on Thursday, 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Mitchell was born January 4, 1971 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Homer Jackson Mitchell and Edna Nadine (Fowler) Mitchell.  He worked as a correction officer for the Mississippi State Penitentiary and was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church.  Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by three half-sisters, Janet Dailey, Dorothy Mitchell, and Nancy Mitchell.

He is survived by one daughter, Chloe Grace Mitchell, life-long companion, Janet Kay Mitchell, one sister, Lee Ann Baker (Brad), special friends, Chris Carter, Jeff and Susan Brown and Laura Hutcherson, all of Huntingdon.  He also leaves thirteen nieces and nephews, Amanda Smith, Tara Smith, Brittany Archer, Scott Smith, Alex Smith, Barbara Turner, Keith Brown, Elizabeth Yelzerton, Stephen Baker, Teresa Farrar, Ken Roberts, Stacey Roberts, and Jamie Craig.  Chase Funeral Home - Huntingdon.
