Mc Kenzie, TNMrs. Georgia Mae Townsend, 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Monday, April 19, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment was in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.
Mrs. Townsend was born September 14, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Louie Simpson and Eula (Achord) Simpson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Townsend and one brother, L. A. Simpson.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelli Townsend (Renee Wills) of Memphis, one step-son, Tommy Townsend of Trenton, one step-daughter, Judy Ringold (Edward) of Bartlett, three sisters, Margarette McDonald of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Shirley Cox of Parsons, and Gwen Beatley of Memphis. She also leaves five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
