Mc Kenzie, TNFuneral services for George Lewis Haynes are Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Monday at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Atwood, Tenn.. Pastor Wilma Pearson will officiate.
Mr. Haynes, 77, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Henry Co. on May 29, 1944 to George Wesley and Lucille Berry Haynes. He is a retired truck driver, auto mechanic and a member of Johnson Temple CME.
He is survived by his sons, Tyrone Haynes, David Haynes, Terry Haynes and Darrell Smith, all of McKenzie, three sisters, Minnie Pearl Haynes, Florence Oglesby, both of McKenzie and Ruby Owens of Henry, and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sadie Clark Haynes, a daughter, Carol Smith, son, Michael Haynes and brother, James Thomas Haynes.
