Posted

On Friday, April 16 between 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. the Carroll County Health Department is holding a drive-through COVID-19 vaccine event. County officials stated no appointments are necessary and the vaccines will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Phipps Pharmacy is administering the COVID- 19 vaccines manufactured by Moderna and Johnson and Johnson at all locations. The pharmacy group is accepting scheduled appointments through their website, www.phippspharmacy.com. All documentation required for the vaccine can be completed on-line. For residents without Internet access, appointments can be made by calling Phipps Pharmacy at one of their locations in McKenzie, Huntingdon and Jackson.
All vaccinations are given at no charge to the recipient regardless of insurance coverage. Patients with prescription or medical insurance need to bring copies of all insurance cards to the initial appointment. The supply provided by the Tennessee Department of Health is limited.
Phipps Pharmacy is providing COVID-19 Antibody Testing at all three locations. In Jackson, Phipps Pharmacy is providing COVID-19 Rapid Test. Dr. Jay Phipps stated, “Phipps Pharmacy is excited to support the valiant efforts of our local health department as the first pharmacy in Carroll County to provide COVID-19 vaccines. We feel very privileged to have been chosen by the Tennessee Department of Health to help with getting these essential vaccines to our community.”
